Privacy and Data Protection Policy

Who we are

Like you, we are concerned about keeping our personal data safe, so transparency about how we at Healing Tree Wellness LLC use your information is important to us.

About Collecting Personal Information

We collect only the personal information that we need in order to maintain a working relationship with you. If you are a client, we need to have that information in order to reach you and to serve you. If you are not a client yet, we may need your information to respond to your request for information, to send free content, or to arrange a free consultation appointment.

You can look at this website or our other platforms without giving any of your information, but if you choose to interact with it (commenting, submitting a contact form, downloading offers), we need to collect your information so we can maintain that relationship.

By providing your personal information to us, you grant us permission to use and store such information.

What Personal Information Is Collected?

What we collect depends on how you interact with us. We do not take any information that is not voluntarily shared with us.

Personal data we may ask you for (this is not an exhaustive list): name, email address, your website, mailing address, phone number, date of birth, username/password to access certain features on this website, other contact information or preferences.

Non-Personal Information

Non-personal information means that it does not identify a specific person. We may use website analytics and “cookies”, for example, to help understand how people use our website and our services.

How Personal Information Is Used

We only collect the information we need in order to provide services and so we can contact you about changes to that service.

We may send marketing messages to you but ONLY if you have given us permission to do so. You may at any point opt out of receiving these messages by using the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of an email message from us.

We will NEVER sell your information to anyone. We do share information with our trusted third-party data processing vendors who process those data on our behalf, and also promise to keep it confidential. Also, our trusted contractors may need to access some information in order to support the necessary work of keeping this company functioning.

We may disclose personal information if required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that it is necessary to comply with legal process served on us or to protect the rights or personal safety of our clients or ourselves. Otherwise, we do our best to keep your information safe and secure.

How Personal Information Is Stored

If you give us your information through our website or on one of our other platforms, your personal data will be stored electronically and securely. For example, some of the online platforms we currently use to store and process data include: Quickbooks, Teachable, PayPal, Acuity, and Mailchimp. These companies have committed to high-level data protection and security and we trust that their systems are fully compliant to the required standards.

We do not store credit card information on any local system so we cannot access your credit card information. All credit card transactions are handled securely through our trusted third-party platforms with high levels of encryption.

If you become a private client, some of the personal data you provide may be transferred to paper for ease of use during our sessions and will be kept in a secure and inaccessible location.

You Retain Control of Your Data

You may unsubscribe from emails or request that we not use your information and we will of course comply.

You can ask to be entirely deleted from our system, and we can do that, with the exception that we are required to track income for tax purposes, and your receipts would remain in our accounting system for at least seven years. But you would be removed from our marketing or client delivery systems as entirely as we can without compromising our tax records.

Disclaimer

When you share your information with us, we take a lot of care to protect it. However, due to the nature of the Internet, we cannot completely ensure, warrant or guarantee the security of any information transmitted to us or through our services. Submitting information is done at your own risk.

Questions

We appreciate your trust in us to manage your personal information safely and with care. Please reach out to me through the Contact page on the website if needed. The “we” in this company is mostly me, Bonnie, so I appreciate your patience with my response to any questions or concerns.

This privacy policy is current as of June 11, 2025. Please return to this page to check for future updates.

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Who we share your data with

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

How long we retain your data

You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where your data is sent

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
